V. Kolesnikov, E. Vilson, V. Vavilin, N. Kolesnikova (Russia)
Rostov Research Institute of Municipal Economy has developed a new type of combined installations (CI) for the treatment of municipal and agricultural wastewater. These installations are designed for wide rage of influent BOD up to 1,000 mg/1 and suspended matters up to 400 mg/1. What concerns the treatment plant capacity, there are several types of CI, making 25-100 and 200-100,000 m3/day. The technological and constructive peculiarities of CI were first presented on the German-Russian Symposium in February 1995 in Berlin. The efficiency of CI was marked with the Gold Medal during at the 45th World Exhibition of Inventions in Brussels in 1996. With the aim of treatment of high-concentrated sewage, as well as nitrogen and phosphorus deep removal, the technological scheme can be complemented with anaerobic bioreactors, biocoagulators of a peculiar constructive design, and physico-chemical processing plants. The CI novelty and serviceability have been confirmed by more than twenty Russian patents. At the moment the registration of patents is carried out in America, Canada and Europe.
